Raw London's 'Control' for Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services, was one of the most awarded of 2017, performing above its budget in order to compete with big brands. NDAS wanted to screen the film in every school across Northumberland in order to raise awareness of what a controlling relationship is and how it starts. They had a well-defined audience by geography and age, making it easier to find the right project.
The creative approach allowed the idea to be delivered within budget with a supportive crew and one-day shooting in January on the Sandringham Estate, Norfolk. The results were impressive. In addition to being shown in every school in Northumberland, the film has been widely covered by national and international media, as well as being used by healthcare and police organisations.
